Overview
This project was my first commercial endeavor, focused on creating a website for CIMAT, a high-tech designer and manufacturer of balancing machines based in Bydgoszcz. Tasked with converting designs provided by a graphic designer into functional web pages, I utilized HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript to bring over 20 views to life. The project was a significant learning experience, providing the experience and boost I needed to advance in web development.
Solution
To create the CIMAT website, I meticulously translated the graphic designer's vision into code. Using the BEM methodology for styling, I ensured that the SCSS was organized and maintainable. The implementation involved coding all interactions and animations using JavaScript, delivering a dynamic and engaging user experience. Although my primary responsibility was front-end development, the website was later ported to WordPress by another programmer to leverage its content management capabilities.
Results
The completed website for CIMAT effectively showcased the company's high-tech balancing machines for both industry and craft workshops. The final product featured more than 20 distinct views, each faithfully representing the original designs and providing a seamless user experience. This project not only demonstrated my ability to handle complex web development tasks but also equipped me with valuable skills and confidence for future projects.
